Publishing My Way...

I'm learning the ins and outs of putting my novel on Amazon as an ebook for Kindle.

I'm nervous and I'm excited.

I'm ready to  copyright my book and do all the other endless things needed.

I'm doing another nervous run through making sure there are no mistakes. Wish me luck on that one!

I've looked at book covers all day until my eyes feel crossed. I've found some wonderful sites if anyone is interested.

My daughter is helping me go through covers and I'm making a last minute change to the title.

I pray I'm making the right decision about that. This whole process is a little intimidating.

I'm much more confident and self assured when I'm writing. Publishing or getting ready for publication is
way out of my field.

I'd always thought if I ever published a book it would be with a big publisher who would do all
the work for me.

But the world of publishing is changing and so many doors are opening for authors with internet access.

I plan, if this ebook is a success, to publish a few paperbacks, if only to please myself.

I need to hold the book in my hands. I love the smell and feel of books. Plus you get a whole adventure within the pages.

I promised Vada Faith, the main character of this story, when I created her that I'd do everything in my power to help her see
the world after I breathed life into her.

And now I'm doing that.

    SO excited for you!! & for Vada Faith too!! Sorry I have not been able to spend more time on this with you. The last few days with Austin have been very long! He is all tucked in asleep in his own bed tonight. Praying he wakes up with no fever, and he can go to school. Getting ready to read your emails, look at cover pictures, and start to read the book!! Love you!!

    You need to go with what feels right for you; and in the end it's all about taking risks. Just put it out there and let it do its thing!

      I have my cover ready and now doing a few other things. Jill is reading through it one last time and catching a few errors I missed!

The Red Christmas Cane/A poem

It's been so long since I've written a blog I'm not sure anyone will even come by. But if you do, know that I appreciate your reading. I was cleaning some files and found this Christmas poem I wrote years ago. So I'm recycling my work again. I love writing but have spent the last five months reading, reading, reading, hoping that by reading all sorts of different genres that my own writing will improve. VADA FAITH AVAILABLE ON KINDLE

VADA FAITH is now available as a Kindle e book on Amazon. See bottom of page for cover. I'm so excited I could shout it from the rooftops. I would, if I wasn't so tired. I've never worked as hard as I have these last few weeks getting the book in shape. And I thought the initial writing was difficult. Then the worrying kicked in and I've fussed over every little detail. I can see why some call it "birthing a book." At least I don't have to sit up with it at night or listen to its cries. Or rock it back to sleep. I'm ready for a break. But it will be a short one. I'm starting to format the manuscript for paperback. E books are nice but I love to hold a book! I plan to work with Amazon to produce the book form. It should be available on Amazon by late spring or early summer. Those are my plans for the coming months! What are yours???
