Vada Faith Free Mother's Day

Vada Faith is going to be offered free on Amazon - Kindle - on Mother's Day.

I had hoped to do another post reporting on the progress of my WIP Sweet Baby James, the follow up novel to Vada Faith.

But husband has been in hospital since Sunday night. He was in for a week before that and had came home Friday night.

Right now he's having in patient therapy to get some strength back from being so ill after his back surgery.

Between running to the hospital and keeping up with things at home it's been difficult to think much less write.

Create Space (Amazon) is almost finished putting together the paperback of Vada Faith. I've ran into so many glitches during this process that it's been frustrating. However I figure once I learn the routine it will be a piece of cake for my next project. Isn't that a laugh. So optimistic.

I'm excited to see so many bloggers now publishing books!

I look forward to reading them all. I have the Kindle on my lap top full of novels to read.

My next will be Tender Graces by Katherine Magendie. Hope I've spelled her name right. I've been following her career on facebook and her blog.

I love that her books are about West Virginia so I look forward to reading her books.

    Hope you had a great Mother's Day, too. And I hope Raymond is improving day by day. I've been doing all of the above–reading, writing (marketing, really, as I'm sending ICE MAGIC to publishers and agents), researching, and relaxing. Have enjoyed some quiet days at home. Blessings . . .

For those of you who regularly follow my blog, I wanted you to know that health issues and family problems have kept me from my computer lately. Of course my mind has been busy coming up with great ideas to blog about but by the time I sit down late at night to write those lovely ideas have flown out of my head and gone back to wherever good ideas come from in the first place. MY HIGH SCHOOL EXPERIENCE...

Wednesday, March 16, 2011 High School - Poca High School, Putnam County, WV What year was it? Fall 1960 - Spring 1963 What were your favorite bands, or singers? Sam Cook, Chubby Checker, Conway Twitty (It's only make believe), Johnny Rodriquez. Meatloaf. ELvis. What was your favorite outfit? Straight skirts, blouses, cardigans or jackets, little heels. Other Outfits? Jeans and a white Dr. Ben Casey shirt. What was up with your hair? Everything. I put peroxide on it. Lemon juice, thinking it needed to be lighter. Ah, Spring and all her glory.

I'm enjoying the spring weather that has finally arrived in Ohio bringing blooming pear trees, red buds and tulip trees. How about you? Do you love spring as much as I do? I spent a day on the patio, putting out the table, chairs, umbrella. I painted a white wicker plant table and have decided it's too good for the patio. I plan to use it in the bathroom instead. Just when I thought winter would last forever, spring arrived with temperatures in the 70's. I noted buds covering my rose bush and a robin building a nest in the crevice of my chimney. I wanted to let them stay but they managed to leave so much debris at my front door that I had no choice but to shoo them away. Hopefully they've moved on to one of the many trees and bushes in my community, a more cozy place for raising babies.
